Keemun is with no doubt the most famous Chinese black tea. It is called the "ambassador of teas" for it is enjoyed world wide. Keemun was the tea used for the first English Breakfast blends. It is interesting to note that Keemun is one of two teas that age well (Puerh being the second one).
Keemun black tea is acclaimed for its strong, fresh aroma and full-bodied flavour. Keemun is made from young tea leaves picked in the late spring. This tea is like a shiraz amongst all teas - full of flavour, quite strong, refreshing and helping to keep alert state of mind due to its considerably high caffeine level.
Keemun is a wonderful drink to be enjoyed mostly after meals and along with desserts. It is a rare delicacy for you who love black tea. If you are one of many people who look for a way to switch from coffee to tea, or if you drink black tea with milk - Keemun is the way to go.

Taste & aroma:
An excellent tea with delicate smoky, orchid bouquet, hints of honey sweetness and long finish. The brew is elegantly balanced.

Appearance:
Keemun has small, dark, curly leaves. Its liquor has an impressive, dark red colour.

Origin:  Anhui Province, China.
Anhui Province is certainly one of the most important tea regions of China. It is well-known for rare and wonderful teas, including best quality Keemun.

Harvest Period: Late Spring, 2009
