Jasmine Dragon Pearls is a delicate, hand rolled, white tea also known as Mo Li Long Zhu.

Leaves for Jasmine Dragon Pearls are picked early in the harvest. The flowery aroma with clearly distinguishable delicate scent of the night-blooming jasmine, is a treat for all senses.

Appearance:
The tea leaves are hand rolled into beautiful pearl-like shape. Each pearl combines two delicate leaves and an unopened bud. When added to water the hand rolled pearl slowly unfurls revealing the natural beauty of the leaves. Tea brew is green to pale yellow in colour.

Origin: Fuding, Fujian Province, Southeast coast of China.

Fujian is one of the most famous areas to grow and process green teas. The subtropical climate, with comparatively warm winters creates a homeland for some of the best teas in China.

Story

In general Chinese jasmine is prepared using green or oolong tea.
In order to scent the tea with the beautiful aroma of jasmine flowers, tea leaves need to be mixed with the night-blooming jasmine in the evening. With nightfall, the blossoms open and infuse the tea with their sweet aroma. Each morning, the used flowers are removed and fresh blossoms readied for the evening. This process is repeated a number of times, depending on the grade of tea. Highest grades of jasmine tea are infused for twelve consecutive nights.
